I opened a second account for those type of cards, an account in which I
have no money, then when I want to buy something I have to transfer the
funds first

This makes it perfectly safe for internet purchases and keeps me from
impulse buying as I need to wait until the money is actually transferred
before I can buy, well, I have a couple of CC's as well :-), but I only
use them for car rental and emergency backup when I travel

Yeah, but the money is _already gone_ and un-useable until you mill through
the procedures.

With a CC issue, I ain't wrote the check yet so THEY are floating it :)

That's a pretty good idea.

You must have online banking.
