NFS3 doesn't work with Monster M80 Sound card

I get this error:
  SNDbankadd - INVALID BANK ID.

Anyone else seen this?

The showcase/movies all work fine. Its just when you try to race - it
all loads and then crashes out with this error.

If I delete the sound drivers it will run but with no sound.
