Nascar 2003 Graphics Setup, need some advice

by GKenne » Wed, 12 Feb 2003 08:19:03

Hi all,

There was a great primer on Nascar 2002 that told you how to go into the
config files and make some changes. They dramatically helped the FPS in
2002. Is there a similar article for 2003? I can't find the article now, but
is the config set up the same way so that the suggestions from 2002 would
work.

I'd like to bump up the resolution. Im around 40 min to 80 max on daytona
right now at 1024x768 with most all of the eye candy on.  AMD 2100+, G3
(original), Still on DX 8.1, Herc *** theater, Win XP, 512 meg memory.
Using the 41.09 drivers from Nvida. One set of drivers back on the 4in1s.

At 1600x1200 (16bit) getting 25fps to about 30. Almost there (looking for
40) if I can get the config right.
