New Live for Speed beta - version 1.0F

by Tim Epstei » Sun, 13 Oct 2002 07:37:20

The following is from www.liveforspeed.net - various improvements.

I hope they stop publishing the beta improvements soon, otherwise the free
betas will get so close to the release vesion that people will lose their
incentive to buy the full product.

Hello racers!

There is a new patch version E available at
www.liveforspeed.net/download.htm

Enjoy!

Changes in patch F :

--------------------

POV Hat support (multiple controllers may need to reprogram buttons)

Race position indicator

N key displays race position list

Host automatically reconnects to master server after disconnection

SHIFT + F2 : Replay time slow down

SHIFT + F3 : Replay time speed up

Game Option : Single player hot lap validity check

View Option : Draw driver / steering wheel

View Option : Show checkpoint text / driver names

View Option : Manual shift indicator (up / down)

Host Option : Disconnect / Reconnect master server

Audio Option : Skid volume boost

Controls Option : Remove deadzones

Note: The following are NOT done yet:

command line setup

translate keys

multiplayer replays

physics changes

clutch and shifter support

But we think the things that are done make the patch worth it :)

I remember with ATI cards you had to disable something with Rage3d
tweak to get the FPS up. Anyone remember that setting ?

Yes.  You need to disable TCL, using Rage 3D Tweak.
