hey,

i think this was a fine article on the other side of the story.... those of
us who tried to support CART in Texas.  sure, the drivers shldn't be in
danger but hey....i would have enjoyed a few more turns as well.....

Yeh thats a good article.. THats how i felt. Its not just the price of the
ticket i spent, its the fast i wasted my whole weekend, i didnt get to see a
race, and their total lack of professionalism that makes me say " I DONT WANT
CART IN TEXAS AGAIN" . They can keep their panzy a**es overseas. This is
entertainment and you know The Show Must Go On!....

So you think drivers passing out in the car and possibly dying is entertaining?
No wonder you people love nascar.

I think the point here is is why they didn't discover those G-force
problems sooner while testing the track..
I don't know much about CART, but cancelling the race 2 hours before
the start of the race because of G-force problems sounds quite strange
to me.. I can imagine very well that people who paid good money for
this are p*ssed beyond belief..

c'mon, did you read the article?  nobody wants drivers passing out.  and it
shouldn't be part of "manly pride" what form of auto racing yanks yr crank.
the best race i saw this year was with bullfrogs and 7 year olds....

btw, how're the rangers doing?  hehe.

Like I would say "Shite happens!".  That's like somebody who, after waiting
months for his favorite rock group, sleeping 3days in a line to get tickets,
founds out right before the concert that it's cancelled because the singer
is sick today.  What can we do for the fans? Of course they'll get pissed
off, but the show must go on and I sure know it won't affect CART in
long-term except 1 thing, that the Texas market will be less.  But the Texas
market?  Who cares, there are hundreds of them markets around the world that
have potential.  One lost, ten found.

You accidentally left out the first line of my post, which contained
my actual question:

"I think the point here is is why they didn't discover those G-force
problems sooner while testing the track.. "

That's something different than a singer becoming sick on the day of a
concert. This is more like 2 hours before a concert getting the
announcement 'you can all go home now, the singer has been sick for a
month now so the concert is cancelled'.

They just didn't discover it.  Laziness, perhaps a lack of software
understanding, perhaps just an unbelievable circumstances no one had thought
about, who knows?  It's like going to your wedding and you forget your
wedding ring.  Yes I know it's impossible to NOT think about it since you've
been planning for months but hey it happened, and many times!  Humans do
mistakes, they forget things, they can't think of everything  ;)
