SBK 2000 Problem with dll file

by 6tb.. » Fri, 10 Mar 2000 04:00:00

I played SBK 2000 for a day or two, now when I try to play, everything
loads, but once the track itself loads up, and the action is gonna
start,(the loading bar completes) I get an error message to do with the
shiba.dll file. Any one else encounter anything similar or have any
hints? Great game, wish I could play it. PS: upon fresh install, will

                     128 Meg Ram
Viper 770 Ultra with Detonator 353 drivers
                     SB Live
                     Lots of HDrive space

Thanks in advance for any help.

Got the same problem. Great game while it lasted.

SBK 2000 Problem with dll file

I solved my problem. It seems that the game needs the latest official drivers for it to stay working, whether it's your sound card or video. Just a guess, but it worked for me. I downloaded the reference drivers from Nvidia's site and all is back to normal again. Strange that this fixed it because none of my other EA titles required this to run.

I had this problem with the demo. I played it once, then couldn't play it
anymore. I had a feeling it was the sound card because it seemed like it
crashed just as the sound was about to start. I have a stock Ensoniq PCI64.
I upgraded my drivers to latest Creative Labx SBPCI64 and all works fine
now. (Still can't load saved replays though.) People have also reported the
loading replay problem in the final release.

  Good luck,

  Bazza

I had this problem after saving a replay. I uninstalled, then re-installed,
haven't saved any replays and no problems since. Give it a try but remember
don't save any replays!

Hope this helps,

Sal V.
