Modified dinput.dll file for W98 ?

by Glen » Sun, 15 Aug 1999 04:00:00

Can anyone tell me where to get the dinput.dll file for W98?
The dead zone is really distracting.  I found the file for W95, but when
I replaced the original with it, Windows noticed that the file was older
than the original and replaced it on the next boot.

You have to love Windows.

www.f1racingsim.com has the deadzone patch
if you put the patched .dll in windows/sysbackup it won't replace it

You don't need it. A much better, adjustable solution is:

http://home.att.net/~stickworks/ctfjv320.zip

CTFJV320.ZIP contains version 3.20 of the CTFJ Joystick Utility for
W95 and W98. CTFJ features improved scaling and deadzone routines and
expanded scaling methods over those provided with Windows as well as
providing Gain and Range adjustments that allow you tailor your
joystick reponse for optimum results with any game or simulation.

It's free.
