(1) Make sure you install and run the New 2.29 drivers from here
http://us.thrustmaster.com/support/driver_view.php3?id=108
(2) Make sure you have Direct X8.0a installed
Let me know how that goes.

Follow Brad's advise above......
You have to "create a profile"......"preset" is also the term....configure
it, name it, and then save it. This is where you use the TMapper
utility...to create the "preset" and save it. So, for GPL, create a preset,
make the brake and gas separate (3-axis)....and name it (I call mine
"GPL-3axis"....and you must "point" Tmapper to the GPL executable folder.
Set the Tmapper "systray" icon program on "automatic"....and you are done.
Whenever you click on the GPL executable...your "saved" preset for the wheel
("GPL 3-axis" if you named it that) will automatically be engaged and
operate the wheel. All of this is explained in a very well written "white
paper" which you can find on the Thrustmapper website. My guess is you
don't have a manual? If not, then download one in Acrobat from the TM site
as well. I have been using this wheel for all our sim rental units...for
about a year now. Its a great wheel, far better stability than the original
TM NASCAR Pro Digital ("one")......and its priced right...for sure, at $60
full retail. I have been Velcro-attaching a real-life 14" aluminum stock
car wheel onto the smaller "F1" style wheel....when I want to run
N4......use the small one with the paddles for GPL. Its a great "combo"
wheel for that purpose. Seems Guillemot likes my idea (I've been telling
them to make a 14" stockcar add-on wheel for almost a year now)....finally.
You won't miss the FF....it makes you slow anyway.
I'm meeting with Guillemot and the TM guys (product development department)
at E3 on Thursday afternoon, to discuss their next-generation "NASCAR Pro
Digital" which might feature both a small F1 wheel....and a full-size 14"
"stock car" type wheel for N4 as an "add-on." I'm actually taking a
full-size Winston Cup wheel with me on the airplane down to E3...to give it
to them as a "model."
Dave...make sure you use DXTweak...to take the 5% deadzone out of DX8.0
controller program....on the Y axis (wheel)!
I'm leaving for E3 in the morning....so I won't be able to answer any
questions beyond tonight. But, go the TM site....get the manual and that
"white paper"....its the "good stuff!"

Tom Pabst
I think 2.29 refers to the "download" file version....and the TMapper it
installs is 1.33 version. Does that make sense?
And yes, if the Tmapper browser is different...you got the new one.
