Its been a few days since I posted and I must admit I am no
faster but I am coming to grips with most cars and starting
to get comfortable in training mode.
I took the plunge and tried some on line racing, on VROC, IP
connect and Beta tested GPLOnline for Dean Williams of
British Colmbia Canada (new software similar to vroc).
Man, its different racing against others. When you are in
training mode you just think about the road ahead. Having 2
years of competitive GP2 with advanced A1 cars I thought
this would be the case. Not so.
Driving against human opponents is very very different, You
can never tell when they are going to brake or slide. The
human factor really adds to this game.
I have had some problems connecting and booting out but all
in all I have learned a lot. Number 1 be patient. Do not
expect to win in the first cornor, or the second,,or the
third.
Bid your time. Wait for them to err. Drive sanely, (this
could be a big task for a lot of our readers) Calculate the
odds of an overtaking manouver, then decide if its worth it.
Practice some races with just A1 cars it will help prepare
you for on line races.
