Will the Tnt cards run GPL?

Someone advised me previously that GPl only supports 3dfx and rendition
chips. Does this mean none of the next generation cards coming out will be
supported (aside from the Banshee).
Will GPL support Open GL? and Direct 3D?
I had planned to buy a tnt card but if it won't run GPl I'm not sure.

1. GPL on Viper 550 TNT card

2. Canopis TNT vid card w/GPL and GP2

3. GPL and RIVA TNT 128 16mb graphics card

4. Riva TNT video card with GPL

5. GPL is it better on Vodoo 12meg or TNT 16 meg card

6. Will GPL works with TNT video cards?
