What's Up With Thriller and GPL?

Well, I replaced my Banshee board with a Thriller 3D 8MB AGP board.

Much to my alarm, I now discover that the best the Thriller wants to do in

100Hz I had with the Banshee, not to mention the image quality that I find
substantially different. I haven't yet decided whether it's better or worse,
but it's definitely different!

Can some of you guys in the know enlighten me ASAP regarding my res and scan
frequency issues. Can I get higher res and/or a higher scan frequency? Got
to get ready for the IGPS series race tonight! THANKS!

Hi Jack

I had the same - You need to get the updated drivers for the Thriller.

Mine are v 0.85.3596

I believe I got them from the Hercules site, but there are also some
Rendition enthusiast sites as well.

Having said that the Thriller's performance takes a hit above 800x600. My
personal opinion is this is the max res for all the AI on or on-line racing.

Cheers

Tony

Thanks, Tony. I managed to discover that last night shortly before the race.
I also did a little Banshee vs. Thriller comparison testing that I reported
in another post here. I've gone back to the Banshee!

Nice race last night, by the way, Tony!

(Tony won the IGPS race at Watkins Glen last night, edging out the normally
irrepressible Graeme Nash by 20.6 seconds.)
