You can, as far as I remember, get higher resolutions than 1024x768 in
N2003. But yes, the monitor has to be capable of higher resolutions, in
order for you to play N2003 in 1280x1024, for example. Whatever Windows is
able to do, those resolutions will show up-- to a certain extent-- in N2003.
Funny thing with my FPD1830 (Gateway), after installing nVidia's 56.72
drivers (I have a GeForce Ti4200), my monitor goes from 1024x768 straight up
to 1280x1024, without going to 1154x854, which I could get before I
installed the 56.72s. When I go back to earlier drivers, that middle
resolution appears again. I was told that if I reinstalled my monitor
drivers, 1154x854 would again become available, but that hasn't worked with
me. I like 1154x854 on my desktop because it is not too big nor too small.
As it stands, I have resorted to 1024x768, which I've been able to live
with.
