WIN95 with T2 controller calibration problem:

I am answering my own previous mail. Some of you may already know this
but just for some that dont. I just found out from another T2
user who called thrustmaster and they told him that the T2 and
the GP1 pots are out of the range of the SB16 interface card,
so we have to buy the ACM card or any variable game controller.
The wheel pot is 200K pot, where the TSW pot is 100K.
The TSW controller works fine with SB16. It looks like the pedals
have the same value pots as TSW(100K). Not sure of pedal calibration
though.

This is kind of dirty pool to make us have to add an additional card
to work with the T2, but I guess thats life.

If I can find a 100K pot to change the pot in the T2 wheel, I might
give the SB16 card another try just as an experiment.

Hold on! I can accept that there is a difference in the pot but what I can't
get my head round is the fact that in dos my port is ok. But in Win95 not.
I originally thought it was a driver problem and have heard nothing so far
to convince me otherwise.
I have a catologue somewhere of high quality pots, I will try to dig it out.
Does anyone know the dimensions or manufacturer of theThrustmaster
pots?

Helping a friend get his T2 to work with WIN95(continued):

I got this info from another T2 user. That is what thrustmaster told
him that the pots were out of the range of some of the game cards only
for WIN95. Whether this is true or not. All I have noticed is a pot
value difference in the wheel console unit. I am still going to change
it to 100k pot and see if it works or not.

If you have any information on a driver problem, let us know what that
is. You may be right also.

I couldnt get the tech person on the phone from thrustmaster last week,
he was away from his desk at the time and did not return my question.

T2 works great with DOS racing games with SB16 card.

The mystery of WIN95 versus T2 saga continues,
If he would of gotten a TSW wheel controller, we would not be in this
situation.
