I posted a similar message a few days ago that the internet demons
apparently destroyed...

Having never owned GPx (where x equals anything), the only exposure I
have to F1 tracks is from TV. I have F1RS and enjoy it. I've played
around with Monza and Hockenheim, both relatively high speed tracks. I'm
trying to get up to speed and maximize my enjoyment of the sim in the
limited time I have to give to it.

I am curious. Those of you with extensive F1 racing sim seat time, what
are your favorite F1 tracks and why? Perhaps we can actually start an
interesting and thought-provoking discussion about the nuances of the
various tracks.

Sorry but I don't have F1RS
But I really lik GP2 I've been driving it for a little over two years and I
would have to say Monaco is absolutely one of my favourites because you have
to "work" a lot to get around.
And it's very rewarding when you manage to drive a new personal record.

They're all great.  But Monza and Hockenheim are probably
the best to get started with, because they are easier to
memorize than others.

My favorite is Spa.  Eau Rouge, lots of very high speed
sections, Blanchimont has a fast bend, pretty trees,
elevation changes, bus stop requires a very precise
application of brake and throttle.  Imola, even with it's
new layout, is also cool.  From TV coverage, this seems to
be the least accurate, for the weird elevation change they
gave it as you approach Rivazza.

I could go on and on.  Japan is special, very long fast
sections, many different speed corners.

   I like them all.

I really like racing at Spa in F1RS.  The fast, sweeping curves and then the
tight corners with the short chutes in between really make you have to
concentrate and be smooth with the pedals and the wheel.  The effects of the
car bottoming out at the faster, downhill parts of the track are pretty cool
too.Monaco is a another fun track to race but if I run too long there I start
to get a little motion sickness!  Definitely a challenge!  Happy Racing!

Ditto the above...

I purchased F1RS just before the start of the 98 GP season and have been
running each track as they come up in the season. They have all been a
challange, some I've done well on others I could not wait to leave ( Argentina!
just couldn't get it! ). The track which surprised me the most however was
Canada, what a blast to drive! Rather like a fast Monaco.

Just the opposite, for some reason I really like argentina, not as much as spa,
but I do enjoy it.  Not really sure why though.
