TRACKS IN F1RS: this is the final remark!!!

For once and for all:

All tracks in GP2 are very well done: I've been to many GP's myself, I've watched all races on TV for the last 15 years, I got  and I know most tracks very well!
The elevations in the real life tracks are VERY IMPORTANT if u wanna call your game a RACING SIM.
Stop all that bullshit about for those who don't know the real tracks it doesn't matter. A SIM IS A SIM and A GAME IS A GAME right??? If you wanna sell a Racing sim, the tracks should be accurate, period.

Technically it is absolutly no problem to make the tracks of F1RS perfectly the same as in real life. Just look at the wonderful Monaco track and some of the other tracks. UBISOFT did a great job on those!
Then WHY did UBISOFT absolutely *** up some of the tracks?? You tell me.
I think it really sucks what they made of Imola, Silverstone, Suzuka (this is a joke), Hungary, Hockenheim (the stadium section is awfull), and some other sections.
Its a shame, really. If they have the knowhow to make realistic tracks, then why not use it on all tracks?

<snip>

While the tracks in GP2 are done well, they aren't accurate in all
aspects of the sense.  Where's the camber in the turns?  Where's the
affect of gravity as one climbs or comes down an elevation?

Slowly and surely we are getting closer and closer to "near perfect"
simulations for our desktop.  Think back to the early attempts of
Indianapolis 500: the simulation and Grand Prix Circuit by Accolade.  We
are finally beginning to see the computing horse power we need to have
more accurate sims.  And we are seeing some developers beginning to tap
this potential.  This is new ground and so far no one developer has been
able to get the whole package down pat.  But there are quite a few
diamonds in the rough, with more to come!

GP2's tracks are good in some respects but poor in others. Camber is
non-esistent, no bumps, some track designs are quite far off (Monaco,
Hockenheim), that sort of thing.

Perfection is possible I'm sure, it's just very expensive.

Cheers!

i ve heard they have worked with a laser
i mean the ubi people... to make accurate track and ich think some tracks
are really great
i was never live at a f1 race (some dreams could be come true)
but i think the up- and downhill of spa is really great
in gp2 all tracks are only flat!!!

bye
