N4: will it use 'lp' files to control AI behavior?

Figure some N4 talk would be good for ras. :>

Just wondering if N4 will follow every previous Papy sim and continue
using a fixed set of lp files to govern AI behavior.  If so, this will
mean that every AI car will continue to follow the exact same line and
react in the exact same way to on-track incidents.

nope..it will only use lp files for the pit lane. this is what i think at least
since this is how i think it is in gpl

It's not like that at all in gpl.  For each track there is a set of lp
files that govern how the AI navigate the track.  It defines their
line that each and every car follows exactly.

True and false.... GPL has upped the ante with the LP files.  There are
more variables placed in it.  The old style just had rough speeds and
attitude of car.  GPL includes variables for optimum passing points,
lane changes, etc.  Hopefully they will up the ante some more with N4.

Upside out, or inside down...False alarm the only game in town.

I for one, hope and beleive they wont. Having spendt hours on hours
creating/editing these files - I prey to the man above that they come up
with something easier.

A single "race-line" argument for each file - would do me nicely :-)
