alogside my old Voodoo 2, but windows wouldn't recognise the geforce card in
any games. Is it possible to have thetwo cards togeter in one system. to be
honest its only so i can play gpl.

Try out what happens if you rename '3dfxv2.drv' in your 'windows\system'
folder and then launch the game.
I use a TNT-card and a voodoo2 and some games always start with the voodoo,
so I use this trick if I want to play with d3d.
Some games still use the voodoo card when you do this, then you have to
renaim more of the voodoo driver files to get it working.
Anyhow, if then the games do not start with the Geforce there is an other
problem, maybe you have to place one of the cards to a different slot,
changing the order, the cards are recognized. (I had to do this with my
Soundcard after installing the voodoo2).
