Are there any plans to add damage effects to the cars in Live For Speed?

Yup, they are coming... I don't think that body damage will be included in
release 0.2 but, in their Release 1 announcement they mentioned that engine
damage may be included. From what I have heard, body damage will be modelled
for their final release. You can check out
http://lfs.bhmotorsports.com/release.htm to read up on their current release
plans.

Sure looking forward to this one,

Sorry to barge in on the thread, but where are you guys going for
online games? I asked here a week or so ago if anyone was still
playing, and got no replies.
I hadn't played in a while, and when I went to find some online games,
there is nothing. I used both master IP's for like 4 days straight,
and found zero games except for one day where I found one password
protected game. Seems like nobody is playing online anymore.

Honestly, I haven't raced it online yet so I wouldn't be of much help here.
My best suggestion would be to check out the forums at
http://forum.racesimcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=205 which are
pretty active. They should be able to point you in the right direction.

Odd, there's about 20 servers running, it varies according to time of day
but I've never seen less than a dozen at once.

Make sure you're using latest version v0.1N from
http://lfs.bhmotorsports.com/download.htm and make sure you've got the right
master server IP - 62.30.60.159 is the default one.

That explains it! I'm using version M. I downloaded it rather
recently, maybe I just missed the update. Does the game only show
matching versions? If so, showing all games, but with a "Wrong
Version" message would be a nice future update for the online
component.

Thanks!

I think it's time for them to pop in a few new tracks.  I believe boredom
with the tracks, not the game, has set in.

Wouldn't it be cool to see a Hard-Drivin' type of stunt track :)

I say that because unlike no other game, this game reminds me of the
outstanding Hard-Drivin' and Hard-Racin' stand-up sims of a dozen years ago.

Hard Drivin'. Best arcade game I've ever played. I can still tell you every
corner on either the stunt track, or the super speedway :)

I'd love to have one in my living room :)

I heard they cost a fortune to maintain though, especially the
Force-Feedback system.
