I didn't see the interview. Do you really think that everyone out there was
fighting to win that race as hard as they normally do? Sure a few guys were
out there for their Million dollars, but most of them would rather finish
second behind Dale...do you think it is a coincidence that he led 3/4 of the
race...that he just had a GREAT car that could easily beat everyone...that
no one could draft past the whole race...sure, believe that. But I think
that there were plenty of times that people might have been able to move out
to pass and block Jr, but instead, they just let him go to the front...Maybe
you just don't see the whole picture. These racers are friends...they are
not rebels fighting to the death out there. They are just playing a game.
The game stole one of their friends earlier in the year, and the least they
could do is help his son win at the track that stole his life. Don't get me
wrong, they still raced hard...and he may have had the best car. But I
don't think that the only reason he led 3/4 of the race and passed 5 guys in
2 laps in the closing laps is only because of a good car.
I don't know why you are making an issue out of that comment. Maybe you
should back up and look at the big picture...Dale jr. is a good driver, and
I am happy for his win...but don't sit there convincing yourself that no
other driver on that track wanted him to win.
