Do yourselves a favor and get Alison Hine's Ferrari setups TODAY!

Not only are they wonderfully "solid" and comfortable to drive, but they're
fast, too.  My previous personal best at the Glen was 1:07.21 in the Eagle
(with a low-rider set-up).  I just broke that with a 1:06.77 in the Ferrari!
And after only 14 laps -- it's not like it takes a lot of practice to get
used to them!

I bet you'll find your personal best times falling.  But just as important,
you can drive these setups with such confidence in your control, I think
you'll find GPL doubly fun to drive.

I've got nothing to do today, so I'm going to see how many new best times I
can set at other tracks.

Thanks, again, Alison

She is amazing.  I used her Coventry setups and drove the Coventry
exclusively because I felt so sloppy in the Ferrari and all the other
powerhouse cars.  While my best Coventry lap at the Glen was 1:10.66, my
best Ferrari lap was no better than 1:12.XX.  Now, after just 10 laps with
her Ferrari setups I did 1:10.33 at the Glen!  More importantly I was the
smoothest I've ever been.  My average lap was 1:11.XX.  Much more consistent
than I've ever been, and  I know exactly where to shave off the next second.
I thought it would take weeks to get under 1:10 with the Coventy, now I know
I'll get there with the Ferrari THIS week, maybe even tonight :o).  Thank
you Alison, you have once again given hope to the average GPL driver!

Oh, GREAT.  I made the title of a message... :)

I'll try it, but that red BEAST *frightens* me - like it just wants me OUT...
It usually tries to scrape me off against a tree, or something.

Excellent advice -- I just turned my first lap under 1:10 (in the
mid-1:09 range) at the Glen using Alison's Ferrari setup with no
modifications.  GREAT setup.

Her Honda (Masurasuma???) setups are GREAT, too -- that's a wonderful
car, but not quite as fast lap-wise as the Ferrari, it seems.

Hi, Eldred --

I hope I didn't embarrass you.  That was not my intention.  I've read your
laments, and I FEEL your pain.  ;-)

And I think you'll find the setups fun and easier to drive -- especially on
what I consider to be the more tricky, technical courses, like Mosport,
Watkins Glen, Zandvoort, Monaco, where you need every last little bit of
traction and control over your car.  And don't give up on the Ferrari until
you've done a half-dozen laps at Spa with Alison's setups, too!  It's, um, a
RUSH.

Really.  Give 'em a try!

 :)

You can use the setups in the Eagle if that car suits you better. Just
change the file extension from .fe1 to .ea1. Then you have to adjust
the gearing for the Eagle's engine. I found that three clicks more in
fifth, two clicks in fourth and one in third gear worked quite well
for the Monza setup.

But I think you will find that the red beast becomes a docile kitten
with Alison's setups. I love them! :)
