V2-3000 sent back!!!

Because I am a 3dfx stock holder, I felt loyal to their products, however,
loyalty is one thing, and performance is another.  The V3-3000 went back and
put in a TNT2 Ultra and reinstalled the V2.  I am now happy again.   I got
the GP Super Bikes included with the Viper 770 ultra and found that it is a
very entertaining game with stunning graphics running  on the TNT 2 card.  I
just hope the Creative TNT2 card doesn't blow away the Viper when it comes
out.

3Dfx's Banshee and V3 products have been disappointing.  If I were nVida, I
would be concerned about the pending lawsuits on patient infringement.  The
Voodoo 2 was a quantum leap in technology and maybe nVida took some
liberties with 3Dfx patients.  Competition is good and raises the bar in
video performance, however,  patient violation is not good.  I went ahead
and bought the TNT2 based on the premise that 3Dfx has to prove their case
in a court of law first.  If 3Dfx wins their two lawsuits, the nVida stuff
gets tossed on principle.  Of course, it would be nice to be a profitable
stock holder!

I agree.  I work in conjunction with a hospital and I am pretty sure the
patients don't like being infringed or violated.
