I noticed they have been*** about with some of the Grand Am
drivers.

Here's a snippet from the email which I'm puting here since I could see
no reference to this particular text on the site -

"I'm pleased to report that the reaction to the sim from the Grand-Am Cup
drivers was overwhelmingly positive. We garnered very valuable insights from
the racers, several of whom are also experienced simracers, and some of
their comments have already been incorporated into our development efforts."

Here's to hoping this brings the Grand Am cars into the fold - that
would be inspiring! :)

I heard that they are sponsoring a couple of Pontiacs at Topeka. I am not
far from there and might stop in.

The Runoffs ran last weekend.  Don Knowles won SSB with his Solstice,
and Andrew Acquilante (who used to post on Speedsims.com and other
boards) led early until having a flat.

If they're serious about having a tiered league system, you'll need
some sort of tin tops from the top levels. :)

I wish they'd get away from that GrandAm stuff. American LeMans would
really rock!

I'd be happy with either or both.

A cynical person might well think that the drivers are savvy enough not
to say anything bad about a potential sponsor. ;)

Stick a V8 in it and I'm ready to go! :) Love the purr, hum and rumble!

I reckon A1GP should use Gran Am type cars for that series ie Le Mans
type cars with a roof and 800+hp V8s.

Grand Am already has a contract with another company.  At least for DP
and perhaps the cup cars.

You would think people would eventually stop announcing games until
they've at least come reasonably close to delivering a product.  I
won't be heartbroken if there's not a Grand Am mod...er, I mean
sim...but I'm highly skeptical whenever anyone who has never released
anything suddenly has a contract to create something like this.  Too
many announced sims that never see the light of day nowadays.
