I got stuck at the Glen doing 1:07 over and over, so I went round a few
other tracks (Zandy etc, mainly at the time for the purpose of NTT) and
I found when I returned to the Glen I quickly got into the 1:06's -
currently I'm doing the odd mid 1:05 which I'm *very* happy about!
Interesting to see what happens now I've blitzed Monaco last weekend for
the purposes of a UKGPL race - going from 0 laps to about 100 over the
weekend, hopefully I'll find my times reduced again, makes going back to
tracks I got bored with a real pleasure (except Monza where I'm stuck
trying to get into the 1:28's!)

I found the same thing - for me the best track for moving onto once
you've reached a plateau is the Nurburgring, as it has so many corners
that it really makes you live off your wits while you're learning the
circuit.

Whereas at other circuits you just learn to brake at certain points and
try to repeat the same actions lap after lap, the Ring is so big that
you have to actually learn how the car behaves in a whole lot of
different circumstances, and try to predict what it will do before it's
too late!  All of which is very useful when you go back to the shorter
circuits.

The other thing you could do is to look at replays of other people's
hotlaps and download their setups!  ;-)

Along the thread of switching tracks, I have found that switching cars
also helps when you go back to the marque of your choice.  I have been
testing the Brabham (vs. my trusy Eagle mount) and when returning back
to the Eagle I have found my times decreasing at all the tracks.
