Nascar2 can't import

Can anyone please help? After I download a car put it in car files
change name to xt_player & put into .pcx format it still won't import.
Also have tried xt_playe, the_player, t_player.
Running win95.

For The player it should be Xt_playe.pcx, but it goes in your N2 folder
(they don't go in the Cars subfolder)?
