By the way, fellow Canadian, you can save yourself $30 buying it mail
order from the US...after conversion, taxes, and duty/service charge it
cost me $170. Chips & Bits in Vermont is where I got mine. Since they
don't pay me for advertising space, you can find their number in any of
the major game magazines...

TWO HUNDRED BUCKS???? Jeeziss!
People want to know why I stay in Oklahoma.
TWO HUNDRED BUCKS???????
heh... That's why.... and I thought 5 bucks for a pack of smokes was bad.
I hope minimum wage there is 10 bucks an hour, otherwise I suppose there
are people making 30k a year there and living in a box!
It's worth what I paid for mine here.
I certainly wouldn't use anything else (and go slower when I have to)

I have a T2 and an ECCI CDS. The T2 only costs $108 down here and is well worth
the money. My ECCI CDS was $545. It's a great wheel, but it's not 5 times
better than the T2 as the pice suggests. Maybe you can try and get the T2
Los
I've had the T2 for a couple of months now and I love it. It only cost
me $89 here in Ohio (I don't know what that converts to in Quebec). It
is one of the lower end controllers but Its a ton better than a
joystick. I have good control with it and find that actually having
pedals makes it easier for me to brake going into corners. If you don't
have the money to get one of the high end models the T2, in my opinion,
is worth it.

Where did you get it for $89? I paid $150.

I just snagged the T2 at Circuit City over the weekend. It was just
what I needed to "get into the simulation".
I ran NASCAR for a while, and then moved on to IndyCar II. Well, I
should say for *hours*. It didn't take long for my brain to think I
was really behind the wheel. there's something powerful about giving
your body the "input" it expects when in a driving simulation.
For just that feeling alone, it's worth it. ...for $99 anyway. Just
the right amount of spring tension for cornering with IndyCar...
One small drawback: the steering wheel does not "lock down" as tight as
I expected it to. There still seems to be a little play in it.
That will be rectified by a dab of "CA" glue in the joint. I don't
expect to take it apart again. It seems to have been shipped "apart" so
that it would fit in a smaller box.
-= Anyone have a reason not to glue it on? =-
Mike
About it not clamping down well... did you get the suction cups on the
bottom of it? Is the table you are clamping to thick enough? I had to
put a ruler under the clamps, but it stays very well- moves my whole
table around.
