Problem with Rockingham track install

by Mark Daviso » Tue, 06 Aug 2002 23:06:26

(Repost from swamped Rockingham thread...)

I downloaded the .exe from both motorsportsims and fastfoodracing.
This is the first add-on for N2K2 I've tried and I get and error 0
when running it.  I presume there's something extra I need for add-ons
that is common knowledge to all but me???
Any help here would be hot.

Cheers,

Got no idea at all, Mark apart from asking whether you've applied the
patches to N4? Even then, I'd still be surprised if it doesn't work....are
you certain you installed to the right directory? Easy to check, just look
inside 'tracks' folder, and there should be a 'Rockingham' folder there,
alongside the rest...

 If it isn't that, I haven't got a clue, sorry :-(

Thanks for your time, Colin.

I'm running N2K2 but the problem is with the installer itself.  When I run
rockingham.exe I get the error 0.  Gutted, I am.

Mark,
If you have previous track folders named Rockingham in your tracks
directory it will not install properly.  I'm not sure if it causes that
error or not but you need to delete any other track folder named Rockingham
before you start the installer.

Problem with Rockingham track install

I don't have a rockingham folder.

More details:
"Error 0 - unable to start program \rockingham.exe" - get this after running
the downloaded self extractor and hitting setup at the "this will install
rockingham..." screen.

If I open the self extractor in winzip and run the rockingham.exe that way I
get and "Error starting program" box with the error "A required .DLL file,
MSVBVM60.DLL, was not found"

Hmmm...

Is this program compatible with 98SE?
