Disable the startscreen in GPL?

by Johan » Tue, 25 Jul 2000 04:00:00

Is it just me who has got tired of waiting for that startup screen in
GPL. It seems to me there's no activity going on waiting for the game to
start. I don't like to wait (there is serious ***time to gain).

Greetings

If you've a PCI modem installed, CORE.INI:

under:

[ Communications ]

add

disable_modem = 1

Another way is to leave the modem on.
If you went online once, GPL looks always for the modem during setup.

Jens

BTW AFAIK all modems (intern, extern, PCI, whatsoever) are affected.
