GPL lock's up when I try to leave the*** pit while racing online only. So
I am unable to pull into the pits and leave the car to go to chat without
the game locking up.
Here is my system:

Motherboard Abit BE6 II
Hard Drive Western Digital 30gb ATA66 7200rpm
Memory 256mb (2  Micron PC133 128mb)
Video Card Leadtek Geforce 2 GTS 32mb
Monitor CTX VL710
Sound Card Soundblaster Live X-Gamer
Network Card D-Link DFE-530 TX+PCI
Modem  US Robotics Sportster 56k v.90
Printer HP DeskJet 932C USB
Joystick Logitech Wingman Formula Force USB

I have all the most up to date drivers for all the devices.

Do you use Zonealarm Firewall, this firewall does not work good with online
games.

I get lockups in gpl with any 6.xx nvidia driver below 6.49 try the new 6.66
drivers http://www.racesimcentral.net/(rename the NVAML.dll file to
NVAGP.dll) I did a full online GP in the Masters of GPL last night with no
problems.

Read this:
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
It made it alot better for me.
Only when getting from the car back to the pits, I sometimes have to wait longer than normal.

Rob.

I've the same problem and DO use ZoneAlarm.  Tho I usually set security to minimun and close it with control/alt/delete first - if this is the cause, I'd be open to other alternatives.

Thanks for the help, Zone Alarm was the problem. The only way I can get GPL
to work is to turn Zone Alarm off. Tried setting it up in Zone Alarm, and
giving it full access but it still wouldn't work.
