SCGT Braking

I wonder if there is something wrong with my MSFF set-up? I'm driving in the
GTQ class (although it seems to be true for other types of cars in the game)
and finding that when I take my foot off the accelerator the car slows down
far quicker than I would have expected. De-acceleration is so fast that its
almost as if I have hit the brake. The MS wheel has been set up so that the
two pedals are on separate axis, and this is also true for the wheel/pedal
configuration within the game.
I understand that there is a patch for a problem with duel axis pedals for
the demo, does it sound like I have a similar problem with the retail
version, or am I showing my ignorance of performance cars (which is a
distinct possibility).
Thanks for any help

SOunds like the wheel has gone back to thinking the throttle and brake are on
the same axis and is applying the brake when you let up on the gas as far as the
game is concerned.  I have the same wheel and i find it necessary to go to the
profile activator and check and recheck the profile I created for SCGT every
time I start the game.  It may not actually BE necessary, but it only takes a
second (I have a shortcut for it in the same folder as the driving sim/game
icons) and it assures me that the wheel is thinking correctly.  I noticed that
if the sidewinder thing isn't running in the tray the wheel isn't getting the
mapping, and it doesn't reappear when you restart the computer, either.

I had the problem you mentioned once, and it turned out that the profile
activator wasnt running.

Is there no way to turn the pedals to single-axis? I would certainly
not purchase a wheel that has fixed dual-axis since only a small
marginal of driving games support it.

Worry not. Each profile has a Pedal setting with two radio buttons:
"Combine as Y"  and  "Separate".
