Having just bought SCGT, I am desperately trying to configure it to use
separate pedal settings, as opposed to combined. I successfully managed
it once, but since then it has refused to acknowledge my brake pedal. I
tried downloading the official patch but no joy. Can anyone help me, as
I cannot race with combined pedals.

Unfortunately, you can't have both patches at once. The split axis one
doesn't fix the problem anyway unfortunately, but thanks all the same.

  try surfing to the gtinsider website and picking up the
split axis patch.  that "may" help.  also while your there,
get the 1.5something realism patch.  have fun

Here's what I do with Act Lab Force RS although I've heard it works
with other wheels:
1) Start the game, now you have the startup screen where you pick the
display driver.
2) At that screen I press both pedals, then click the button to Play
SCGT
3) Keep both pedals pressed until you get the screen where you pick a
driver
4) First time you do this, go to the options screen and assign pedals
to gas and brake, you should have separate axes.
