GPL - WIN32 Message Problem

Having played GPL for a few weeks, I needed to remove it from my
hard drive. Now wanting to reinstall it again, I receive the message 'Not a
valid 32bit application'. I have a PII 450 with a 8.4GB hard drive
partitioned
into a c and d drive. Any ideas how to resolve this problem?
