But, I'm stuck with it for now. I can't turn it off because Papy has
hard-coded the Return-To-Center spring strength into the game and there is
NO way, internally or externally, to change it. It's on full-force with the
MSFFW and with the pull-to-the-right inherent in oval racing it is simply
too much to overcome for any length of time.
So I leave FF on, but low.

Before FF in GPL, I was off the damned track at EVERYcorner. It was like
driving a car floating in space.
Papy's FF in GPL allows me to feel what the car is doing, and I can survive
the corners now. Well, at least half of them :)

Am I misunderstanding this, or are you saying you CANNOT turn off FF in
NR2003, even though you want to, because your wheel supports FF? I have
an FF wheel, but no FF in the game because, like you say, I too would
worry about the latency issues.

You CAN turn off the FF in NR2003. However, when you do so, the Sim turns
on a phony return-to-center spring, and uses full force to do it. It's not
adjustable.
Going around Dega or Tona with the wheel cranked to the right some 10
degrees while fighting that return-to-center spring gets tiring VERY
quickly.

But it doesn't do that in NR2003 with my FF wheel with FF turned OFF. I
have never noticed having to fight the wheel at Dega, Tona or anywhere
else, and believe me I have used this wheel in games with FF ON and had
to fight the damned thing, so the forces can be pretty strong. I can
turn my Thrustmaster Ferrari FF wheel to the right, left or wherever and
leave it there. I am currently running the patched version btw.
