First, thanks to Dave Henrie for the great work on SP30.
However, he was completely right on the problems with downloading.
Up to now, I did not manage to get the 122 Meg File (max I got
was 69 Meg before the connection was lost - I tried day and night;
BTW, the best rate I had was 19 kbps).

Therefore I have two questions:

A) Is there any download tool available that supports recovery
after interrupts and works at freediskspace.com (go!zilla does not work).

B) If there is no such tool, would anyone be willing to place the
SCGTSP30.zip file at a location where one can download it, e.g.
with go!zilla (or similar).

  Sorry to hear of your troubles...I just gotta say..all I did was
upload the file.  James Wohlever is the creator of SP3.0.  As far as I
know, both go!zilla and getright won't work with myspace.com.  When I
uploaded here, I didn't know of that situation.  However, they are they
only site I've found so far that allows uploads of that size.
  If anyone else has it available...please shout!

What does this patch actually do? I think it's the one I've been looking
for, improves the frame rates significantly?

Is it available to download? For downloading large files I use GetRight,
that could help you Herwig.

  It includes some fixes that ISI didn't have time to complete, the
frame-rate improvement is in the 3.1 update.  What that did was save the
cars in the sp3.0 group that had high polygon counts.  These cars were
replaced by less detailed cars and that improves the framerate.
  Go!zilla and Getright don't work unfortunately at this site.  dangit.
They use their own dload system and it just won't start getright.

Ok, I have an excelent connection here at the University of Missouri.
I also have an FTP server setup on one of these many servers. I would
be reluctant to just post the IP here as I do not want to slow the
bandwidth here at UMC, so . . . email me and I will give you the IP
address, but if I notice it, or things start to show up, general wrong
doings going on then I will have to do away with it.

I'm able to use GetRight 4.2 to download it.  I tried to get it by
logging in with the DaveHenrie login but that always wanted to use the
Java applet so I tried using this link to the shared folder:
http://www.freediskspace.com/Folders/2412050/
and created a new user I.D. and then the file will have a direct link
that can be copied to the clipboard and GetRight will start to
download it.

You can download GetRight from www.getright.com and it's about 3 megs.

I just found that you also have to click the "Enable multiple File
Uploads/Downloads" checkbox on the filespace.com page so that it is
turned off before you will get the url.
