rec.autos.simulators

This is one of the few games that have promised LOT more then it has
delivered.
All what we know about the game is just pr-talk from the west brothers, and
all
we have seen is a rolling demo of some sportscars running around a track.

It will be the best carsimulation ever... why? cause the west says so.. ok..
then i must
think that too then?

Can we have some facts instead?, who has tested this game? how much did the
game really delivered then? how about physics?.. did you test different
types of cars?
how about sound?.

And they complain about the physicsmodel in other games, and say "WSC is
much better then that game on tires, suspension, aero" ok.. but how do you
know that? "cause i talked to West about it" ok..

valid point there. So therefore, i ask everyone here who have actually
tested the product to make a review of it. I know some guy tested it.. so
come on.

I 'lost hope' long ago, mild enthusiasm and borderline interest has died
also, I now consider WSC to be firmly entrenched in the 'Nebulous Entity'
catagory of software otherwise known as Vapourware.

However - be assued that WSC is VERY MUCH alive and well, and being upped to
DX9 as we speak.

Its already been delayed once for Voodoo glide to dx8 :(
I dont care about it being DX9 or not, no card out yet supports it anyway.
*sigh*

It looks good enough anyway, even in Glide for me to want it, just the
physics
I care about.. i guess they have implented lots of new features since the
first releasedate 2years back then.

I hope to explain in a post later today.

Well if people such as yourself would stop bringing it up then maybe people
would forget about it.

Forget about it, the thing is vaporware.  It ain't never going to be
released and was just one big joke intending to fool those who could be
fooled.  :)

From recent grapevine news I feel we will see WSC in its full glory, but not
for a while, by which time DX9 will be the norm id imagine...

As for why i feel WSC will be the be all and end all, we had the pleasure of
Chris West at the LAN in Holland a year or so back, very interesting talking
at length...

Right - basically what I wanted to say I cant say due to legal issues.

Believe what you WANT - but WSC is alive and well. If you dont want to
believe that - fine - but I'm sure you'll be first in line to get it when
it's released
