New Guillemot Digital Racing Wheel

Not to stir the pot, but  I'm really curious to know -- is Guillemot a
well-established enterprise with a good track record of quality product
and customer service? I don't keep up with PC *** stuff as much as I
should, but their acquisition of Thrustmaster (is that what happened?)
was quite a surprise to me. I see on their website that they have an
exclusive license with Ferrari, similar to Mattel's...that may be
impressive or it may not. What's the consensus -- are these guys OK or
otherwise?

Guillemot has been making strides as a world class sound and video
provider,  I think their original image was low price low quality, but I
think with the last couple of vid cards thier quality held up well.
Remember that the big French G has bought Thrustmaster, I don't know if
this wheel is an inhouse design or something bought from TM.

I would assume this is a TM design.  Last winter I had the opportunity
to test a alpha version of what I think this wheel is based on at TM
headquarters.  TM never got around to releasing it, I always got the
impression that it would be out for Xmas season '99.
