Grand Prix Manager Help!!

I keep getting told that my car is too heavy...but when I switch to a
lesser part, I'm told I'll go faster with a better one. I don't know
what to do, and I'm being demolished at every race, even with descent
drivers. My car easily is the most advanced, and yet I can even run 5
laps without becoming a backmarker, even when I qualify top ten!!!  

Better yet: Anyone put out a strategy guide? I really could use some
pointers :)

Not until and unless MPS put out a patch.

Some brief hints:

Don't skimp on test sessions. If you can afford to, test twice between
each race.

Keep weight below 700kg. Don't bother with driver aids except for
communication.
