% Hi,
% I own a Thrustmaster T2, the springs off the pedals broke in about 1,5 year
% 3 times. No I'm thinking about buying the new Thrustmaster wheel (F1 I
% think it's called). Has anybody experience with the springs in this wheel?
% Are they better?
There have been some reports of broken springs in the new F1/Nascar Pro
pedals. Whether this is due to poor quality control in the springs or
back to a weak design, I don't know. If the only reason you are
cosidering upgrading is to avoid spring breakage, I can't truthfully say
that is a wise decision. I personally like the feel and quality of the
F1/NASCAR Pro setup over the T1/T2.
If you haven't gotten new springs from Thrustmaster lately, you might
want to give them a try. I understand that the design has improved and
they last a whole lot longer. Also, you may want to look into limiting
the travel of the pedals. This simple modification dramatically
increased the life of the springs in my T1.
