this game but noticed it only works on Rendition and 3DFX cards. I do not
want to go buy the game to find I can not run the game well.
Any advice besides buying an additional 3DFX card?
Thanks

GPL works well enough on the TNT that I've moved the old Voodoo 1 to
another machine, but I'm annoyed that nVidia still hasn't dealt with
the problem that keeps it from working perfectly.

It runs, but I don't think it runs well. There are many people
reporting problems and I suppose these can be fixed by changing
the setup. The real problem I belive is that even if you do
a fresh install of Windows/drivers/direct-x/GPL etc, the TNT
just doesn't handle GPL smoothly.
Even when mine is running at 36fps it is very difficult to drive
smoothly - I can drive more reliably with my old voodoo-1 at around
20fps than I can with the TNT. I think the cause is the frame rate
is not consistent on the TNT, so even though it displays 36fps it is
often dropping way below that rate.
Greg.
No problems, Asus drivers, 36fps, 32 at start (online core.ini settings).

Unfortunately GPL seems to be crash on occasion. I'm not yet sure if it's
OpenGL or GPL Spy Boy that's causing it.

I haven't really seen this. I have a P2-333 running at 412, a CL
TNT running at spec, and I keep mirror refresh as slow as possible,
once per 8 frames. Could be subjective, or that your system is
slower than mine, or that you're running too high a resolution
or too fast a mirror refresh rate.
Not that I'm happy with nVidia. They've given us one whole driver
update in the last three months, which came with a whole lot of hype,
didn't deliver the promised performance improvements, and didn't fix
the bug that hurts GPL.
