Folks....you have got to get ONE thing through your heads. WE here in RAS
are a very small-tiny-miniscule group. How many GPLers are on Vroc each
night? About 100 to 200? No mass market company can cater to a couple of
hundred users. IF EVERYONE here ponied up 500$ you probably couldn't even
pay the building rent where the coding work would be done. Would it cover
the secretaries? The accountants? The taxes? The benefits? Would it
cover the $$ that Sierra and it's Parent companies would require to
supervise Papyrus? Would the pitifully SMALL # of users here have enough
cash to pay the Papyrus Coders to rebuild the GPL engine? Would we have
enough cash to pay for beta testing? How about purchasing enough P4's just
to TEST the sucker...And will we have enough to cover the losses incurred on
Papyrus' next project while they put that aside to rework a game that was a
HUGE FINANCIAL FLOP 3 years ago?
Folks....asking Papyrus to continue development of GPL is just as silly as
demanding Rendtion support on N4.
Can I be any more plain? Building your own dedicated box with 1.33ghz
processor and current generation vidcard makes FAR FAR more sense than
expecting Sierra to release funds for further work on GPL.
