I got the Cambridge FPS1800 speakers system and have to say it is the best
100bucks I've ever spent when talking about packaging and product quality.
No tools, 5 minute setup, and sounds like a 100 dollar speaker system. It's
smooth and flat(ish) and the crossover point is perfectly matched to the
satellites. You really won't miss that information above 12Khz. Shit, most
games don't even have sounds that go that high.

It's a great card for $79 (and that's the retail price).
The Win2K/XP Drivers are SOLID, and the hardware just plain works without
complaining about what slot it's in or any other nonsense.
It sounds great, supports 5.1, and has all the inputs and outputs most could
ever want.
I watch Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 movies all the time and they sound
great.
Personally, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment in replacing an SBLive card
with a TBSC.
Yes, it does 4 channel 3D surround in NR2002.
-Larry
You'll be quite happy with the card and the company.

Everyone's system is different, especially under any old 9x version.

The TBSC is a fine, worry-free card for most people, unlike the SBLive
cards.

Did I mention SB Live! cards? If they play the same games I have they
WILL have the same problems. I'm not talking out my ass. These are
researched and documented facts. Perhaps you can explain to me why the
same games that crash on a SC play fine on a FortissimoII on Win98
with the exact same hardware except the soundcard. Why do you think TB
have released beta WDM drivers for Win98SE? The drivers that crash
certain games are VXD drivers. Fort2 drivers come in one download for
all OS' and don't crash any games under any OS. The SC uses a slightly
more advanced chip than the Fort2 but in practical use and sound
quality it is not better to my ears. A soundcard guru in the soundcard
tech group swears the Audigy is the best gamer's card going and he's
tried most of the others too. But I'm happy with my Fort2 for now. SC
is a great card under 2K/XP, I'm just saying do not buy it if you use
Win98 and play a lot of different games. Disabling hardware
acceleration is not a desirable option. And that's what proves it's
the soundcard drivers and not my PC. By disabling HA I can make any
game play nice with the SC under Win98. That's a driver problems and
not hardware. Do you run Win98 Larry?
The Santa Cruz has already been received and installed, and WinXP is the
operating system, and everything is working great. I apologize for starting
this mess! ;-)

No biggy. It's just standard procedure for usent. :-)
Good choice - for WinXP.
