if your gonna go thru a reinstall of windows just so you dont have to pay
$3, you might as well have some fun trying to hack the registry if the
straight uninstall-reinstall doesnt work

if you're gonna reinstall windoze anyway, it wont matter if you***up the
registry trying to hack it out first...

now this is a serious question here
are you just plain stupid?

virus software needs to be "intrusive", if it doesnt take control of your
system, viruses will, so you put the virus software in control first and it
handles it

Doesn't it make you WONDER who keeps making viruses??

by Z3Coup » Sun, 08 Apr 2001 10:59:52

I didn't mean to start a war or anything, or anyone getting *** at each
other (or ME). And I am not directly accusing Norton or anyone of making the
viruses (but you DO have to wonder . . . . ). And if the subscription fee
wasn't too much, I'd subscribe. But think on this - I paid some $$$'s for
Norton, and on TOP of that they want me to keep paying to get DAT updates.
Yet not too long ago all these updates were FREE. Just like Tech Support
USED to be FREE - now almost everybody charges you to call them, even if
THEIR software is buggy and caused the problems.

Now, I got this in E-Mail from some fellow IS folks, and so you think I am
the ONLY one who thinks this?????

********************
I second that.

Hey Aim7..would you gleefully jump in the sack with someone who has aids
just because you were wearing a ***?

You can avoid virii by not doing anything to get them.  The statement
"viruses will" is the statement of someone too stupid to know where virii
come from and how to avoid them with "safe computing."
