Need For Speed II Video Corruption

by Jay » Sun, 28 Dec 1997 04:00:00

Happy Holidays to all!

I've posted this twice already from my work account, but for some reason I
can't see my post or it's responses from home, so here goes again....

I've got a Diamond Viper V330 2d/3d card, and am having problems with Need
For Speed II (not the SE edition).

When a race starts, within a few seconds the screen goes haywire, the color
flips to a psychedelic tie-die looking reverse color, however the game
continues to play, The sound works, you can still drive, etc...

If I exit the game, and restart it will work (sometimes) but if I leave a
race, then go to race it again, it will usually corrupt the color.

I've got the latest direct drivers, and the lastest drivers from Diamonds
website, and I've even tried re-installing NFSII from scratch, no luck...

Has anyone else with the Nvida RIVA 128 style video card had problems with
this game ????

Any ideas, suggestions, or advise ?????
Thank you!
Jay

It's not the video card, it's what's running in the background. Turn off any
fancy screen utilities, as well as other stuff like MS Office toolbar, etc.
