Thrustmaster GP Wheel

My computer can't find my Thrustmaster GP wheel anymore. It thinks it is a
ordinary joystick. I allready removed the joystick driver on the
hardware-configurationscreen and tried to create a new one,, it didn't work.
Is there a specific driver for Thrustmaster GP wheel and if so how can i get
it ??

Any suggestions please !!
Thanks a lot, Peter

I just set my TM GP1 up like a 2-axis, 4 button joystick... Never tried anything
else, but it works just fine...

Download the ProPanel utility from Thrustmaster. It works similar to the
Windows, Game Controllers utility, but gives you many more controllers to
choose from, including the GP1.

http://www.thrustmaster.com/

Go to the customer support page and click on the link to the files library on
the left. At the top left column you will find the ProPanel and instructions
for it's use. It is only a 1meg download and well worth the tme.

Thanks, but i did that too. The problem is that even in ProPanel the Wheel
"is not connected"... I also checked the hardware-connections

Do you have any other controller that you can hookup to ensure that
Windows is configured properly?  If you try to specify the GP1 as a
custom joystick and still can't show a connection, it sounds as if your
setup is not installed properly (or you have some corrupted support
files).  Is your soundcards gameport set to I/O 201-207?  Do you have
the standard gameport selected as the port driver in Game Controllers?
Are you assigning the GP1 to device ID #1?  If you are using a standard
gameport, all connected devices must be assigned to ID #1.
