I have seen a couple of messages relating to remove a restrictor plate in the
"track".txt file........ How is this done.... is it in a FAQ?

Sorry if this is ra repeat of previous messages...I am new to this group.

Open taladega.txt with a regular text editor, window's notepad
will work fine.  On the "Speedway" line change the 1 to a Zero.
  You also might want to change the rels line to 130 or so,
otherwise the competition will be a bit to slow.  By changing
it here, you can leave the opponents strengh level set at 100%
or whatever you are currently using.  This way you don't have
to change it for  each race at another track.

It's simply done.  Edit the Taladega.txt file and where you see a 1 XX XX
(I think it's right after "Speedway") change the 1 to a 0 and save it.  
The restrictor plate is now off and you'll have a lot more power than
anyone else out there.  The problem now becomes tire wear.  You'll be wearing
down the tires before the AI does.  Good luck.
