AI cars piting

I've noticed that during a race the AI Cars will pit where every they want
to on pit road.  They do not pit at "there" pit stop.  I have seen the car
that is the last car in the field pit right in front of me.  Then when the
race is over they just pull in where ever they can find a spot. I don't
understand what the prolbem is.  if anyone knows any thing please e-mail me
