Yes, I've heard a thing or two about it.

There are rumors about it coming out this fall/winter.
Haven't seen anything definite. Microprose is wise to keep speculation
to a minimum.

I remember reading a good while back an answer to a question about GP3 and I
was dismayed... The question was about whether the new game would be based on
the  GP2 engine and the answer was (something like)... "After the amount of
time I've invested in GP2 I'd be mad to s***it and start all over again"

I quite enjoyed GP2, but the way time sped (is that a word?) up and slowed
down drove me -insane-! If Crammond solves that fixed frames bit then we
could have a masterpiece.  Then again, if it's a truly accurate
representation of the sport(!) then...  Sorry, I fell asleep there!

Isn't it wonderful that we have all these companies who are devoted to
racing simulators? What would life be like without them, I wonder.

I think 3D acceleration will take care of that problem. GP2 is good in
software on a current box, so I don't think it's anything to worry
about. Running GPL in software vs. hardware illustrates that
difference pretty well.

Personally, I found Crammonds solution fascinating...

I'd prefer 'time warps' over dropped frames and less detail.

But, that's just me...
