Think how more immersive a force-feedback brake pedal would be...

I've been saying that for years about such thing on r.a.s.  Somebody has to
create a quality set of Force-Feedback pedals so we can have an accurate
clutch and brake pedal.  I would gladly pay for quality metal FF pedals.

It's not a complex hardware/software thing to create, you just need to apply
the correct information we all have with FF wheels to pedals.

Because about the only thing you really feel through the brake pedal is back
pressure, at least if your brakes are working properly, and we don't warp
discs in sims, yet.

Most of the clues as to brake lockup, and incipient lockup, come from places
other than the actual brake pedal. It's seat of the pants and palms of the
hands feel, not bottom of the foot feel.

I think what we NEED is a brake that operates by using hydraulic pressure to
press one solid object against another. Appropriately tuned for feel.

And clutch! with shifter that would feel real! I can just about feel
how cool it would be in GPL to be able to shift with a clutch and
shifter in a race! Maybe never, maybe someday!!!!

Uhm, I fail to see the need for FF pedals, my brake pedal in my road car
acts the same way each and every time I push the pedal, unless
something's actually wrong of course and in which case I need a new set
of underwear as well :-), all you need is a mechanical setup that gives
a progressive feel, like Nigel Nichols' pedals does

What else do you need ?

Just head over to your local squash court and steal a ball when
there is no one looking ;-)

While we're on the subject... any truth in the assertion it needs to be a
used squash ball?
