Nascar2 Question

Nascar2 Question

I'm running Nascar2 with a MS GamePad, but it keeps re-calibrating itself.
Anyone else with this problem?  I'm running the most updated version of N2
(3rd patch I think) with DirectX v5.2.

Thanks in advance.

Nascar 2 will not work reliably with digital controllers. Besides,
using the gamepad is just the same as playing with your keyboard.
There are no varying degrees to controls, the d-pad and buttons are
on-off only. If you want to race well, get an analog controller. A
wheel and pedal combo is the best but an analog joystick well still be
infinitely better than your gamepad/keyboard. On a side note, DirectX
has nothing to do with NASCAR 2 or any other DOS game.

Yeah, I thought about a wheel, but I haven't seen one I like yet.  But hey,
maybe soon.

Thanks for the info.
