Help! I tried the full installer and WinZip (ver 7.0 SR-1) wouldn't
extract the cab file (Error: invalid compressed data to inflate).

So I tried the piecemeal installation. Install went fine, but when
I run GRE, it refuses to accept my gpl location ("GPL not found
at E:\SIERRA\gpl\GPL.exe"). I can load my setups and stuff, but
the setup target box remains blank, and GRE keeps prompting me for
the gpl location. Anyone have a clue as to what the problem may be?

GRE is installed in c:\program files\vroc\gre and gpl is
installed in e:\sierra\gpl.

I also tried the full install, and get the CRC Checksum error when
attempting to unzip it.  Haven't tried the piecemeal installation
though.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try t*** your path statement down to  E:\SIERRA\gpl. I think your
problem is that GRE is looking for GPL.exe inside GPL.exe ( that is, its
treating GPL.exe as if it were a folder).

I tried that and I get the same results. I also tried to manually
put the path in gre.ini (gplPath,E:\SIERRA\gpl\) and still get the
prompt for the gpl path when I start it.

I did not extract the cab-file, I ran WinZip, selected 'run setup' and
that's all, no problems.
