PUBLIC:F1RS Two Player Observations

I have been playing multiplayer FIRS with a friend for a few months now
linking up using IPX network under Win95 and have noticed the
following:-

You have to setup all config options everytime you play i.e select
drivers, opponents etc.and as you have now retstart options to a race
this can be a little tidious, you cannot seem to save a two player game
config.

Both cars start at the front of the grid you cannot place them where you
want.

And most annoying of all the race start appears to be out of sync
between the two machines i.e. the master machine start lights go out
about a second before the other machine, this leaves the other player
with at least 8 cars down before even starting, we physically have both
screens next to each and watched this happen!!

Anyone elese noticed these or offer any words as wisdom in fixing theses
problems.

Cheers,
Simon.

Hi Simon,

we have noticed this also. And if you come close to another opponents
car (not the computer cars), on one computer is an accident.

There is no qualifying, no championship... the multiplayer option is a
joke.

Cheers,

Robin

well said

but the funny thing is we still play 100% linked races every week!

that shows how good the game could be if they sorted out the laughable
multiplay....
